Arrest In 'Assault' Over Face Mask In NJ Staples

An arrest has been made by Hackensack Police after a woman inside a local Staples was allegedly attacked after asking another customer to put on a face mask. According to Hackensack Police, 25-year-old Terri Thomas from Hackensack was arrested and charged today with Aggravated Assault, a second degree offense.

UPDATE 8-5-20, According to police, Thomas turned herself in after detectives went to her residence and family members told her. “She came in on her own,” said Capt. Darrin DeWitt, Hackensack Police Department. The arrest occurred without incident.

  1. Typical. The so-called victim was the aggressor. She should have kept her cane to herself.

    Oh well, at least this didn't happen in Canada, where cops hunted down an unarmed man in his seventies and executed him because he refused to wear a mask at a small town grocery store. Because they supposedly found guns in the man's home after they murdered him, this made the execution OK as far as the media was concerned. Every media outlet tells a different story, but the fact remains that not wearing a mask is not a capital offence, especially in a country which until now didn't have the death penalty. Speaking of which, our media is now trumpeting calls to bring back the death penalty, what a coinkydink!
